Rebecca Dant with her prints at Kelham Vineyards
Rebecca at Kelham Vineyards :: Photo by Chick Harrity

On most days you can find Rebecca working in her garden studio. The flowers from her garden are inspiration and models for these larger than life images made by using her flatbed scanner as a contemporary photographic tool. This process allows for one elongated time exposure of a still object at a very high resolution.

These larger than life Limited Editions are true examples of dramatic realism with a sense of Old World character.

Rebecca is a printmaker as well as a mixed media artist. She prints Solar Plate etchings as well as monoprints and Book Arts Letterpress broadsides.

After studying art at San Jose State University Rebecca went on to do custom designing for a needlepoint company, owning her own needlepoint shop, doing interior design work and color consulting.

Since moving to St. Helena in 2004 Rebecca has attended classes at The Napa Valley College, taken workshops at the Anderson Ranch in Colorado as well as some in France and Italy. She is a member of the Arts Council of Napa Valley, as well as The Calistoga Arts Center and the Calistoga Camera Club.

Rebecca's images can be seen at The Playful Garden in Napa, Flower Power in Point Reyes Station, Kelham Vineyards in St. Helena and A Forkful of Earth in Fairfax.

Visits to the studio are encouraged, in order to have the first hand experience of this “Luminous Choreography”.

The prints are made in LIMITED EDITIONS of 5. Custom Sizes Are Available.
